Meet the Mummies - Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Ever wanted to meet a real Egyptian mummy? Then come and explore behind the scenes and get up close and personal with some real Egyptian mummies as they undergo conservation. This is a rare opportunity to see these ancient artefacts out of their cases as they are prepared for display by our conservation experts.
Come on one of our conservation studio tours and meet the experts, find out more about the Egyptians with curators and handouts, and have a go at one of our fun family craft activities and the ‘Stop the Rot’ trail!
There will be photo opportunities!
Suitable for children aged 7+
All activities are free of charge
For places on the studio tours, please book on the day in the Round Room- places are limited, so come early to avoid disappointment
