The Big Picture - West Midlands

Big Picture Day is Thursday 8 May – every photo added on that day will be in with a chance of appearing on giant billboards around the region. Due to overwhelming numbers of photos we’re extending this to cover photos uploaded on Friday 9 May too.

Add your photo of the West Midlands to the Big Picture on Big Picture Day and it’ll automatically be entered in a competition — eight winners will be selected to get the full billboard treatment. There’s sure to be one in a town near you!

Upload to the web or text from your mobile — it’s up to you. To add a photo by MMS send it with BIGPIC first in the text of your message to 60300*.

The competition is now closed - look out for the winners here and on a billboard near you soon.

Every photograph taken will form part of our world record attempt to make the biggest photo mosaic in the world and eight lucky winners will have their image displayed on their own billboard for everyone to see.

How to Enter

It’s really easy! Just upload your photos on the Big Picture site or text them with BIGPIC first in the text body to 60300*. All photos submitted on Big Picture Day are automatically entered, but remember we’ll need to contact you —don’t forget to leave your email address with uploaded photos.

The winning photos will be featured on 48 sheet billboards in town centres throughout the region at the beginning of June. We will have winners for each of the following areas (don’t forget to mention where you’re from with your photo!):

• Birmingham
• Walsall
• Wolverhampton
• Coventry
• Stoke
• Hereford
• Worcester
• Shropshire

You may have seen some publicity with Big Picture day listed as Thursday 1 May, we moved the date in order to allow more people to enter and so not to clash with the local elections. If you submit an entry on the first of May, don’t worry, these photos will be considered too.

*To add a photo by MMS send it with BIGPIC first in the text of your message to 60300.
You can add a title if your phone gives you a Subject: field, and tell us a story in the text of your message (even leave your name). Texts cost your network operator’s standard rate. We may in the future use your number to send you free information about The Big Picture - you can text STOP to 60300 to stop those messages.
