This week I joined the Big Picture (part of Flickr, the BBC & the Arts Council). It's a record breaking attempt for the largest photo mosaic in the world. The current World Record for the largest photo mosaic measured 562.85 m² (6,058.46 ft²) and contained 94,392 individual photographs. It was created by Foto Quelle, in Nurnberg, Germany, on 15 December 2007. They are aiming for 100,000 images to be in The Big Picture. If they can do that, everyone who added a photo will be part of a huge montage of all of the photos, meaning that everyone submitting a photo will become a joint-World Record Holder.
